U18s Lead Coach

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an U18s Lead Coach to lead all aspects of football development for U18 professional players. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Swansea, UK.

Role Overview

The [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Under 18s Lead Coach will have responsibility for leading on all aspects of football development for the U18 professional players at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. The role will primarily involve the design and delivery of high-quality training sessions and matchday performances. Managing and implementing individual development plans for each of the outfield players within the U18s age group will also play a key part of the role. All aspects of the role will require the U18s Lead Coach to be aligned in the delivery of the coaching curriculum and playing style of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal].

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead in the management of all aspects of the Under 18 age group in the Professional Development Phase of the Academy.
  • Plan, prepare, organise and deliver high level coaching sessions in line with the club's coaching curriculum.
  • Manage the U18s schedule and build strong relationships with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Design and implement Individual Development Plans unique to each player.
  • Produce and maintain technical reports and Individual Development Plans through the Kitman Labs (formerly PMA) system.
  • Work closely with Sports Science, Medical, and Education departments.
  • Attend U16s matches to assess performance and aid progression decisions.
  • Lead opposition and post-match analysis presentations.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • UEFA A Licence
  • FA Advanced Youth Award (or willingness to enrol immediately)
  • FA Safeguarding
  • First Aid
  • Driving Licence
  • Minimum 5 years' coaching experience in a professional football academy environment
  • Experience with individual development plans and multidisciplinary departments
  • Competent IT skills and experience with Kitman Labs (PMA) system
  • Understanding of EPPP
