FULL DESCRIPTION
PDP Physiotherapist
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a PDP Physiotherapist to join the Academy Medical department. The role involves managing physiotherapy provision for the U18 squad, working within a multi-disciplinary team, and ensuring compliance with professional standards. Renumeration: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum.

- Reports to: Head of Academy Sports Science & Medicine
- Contract: Full Time (40 hours)
- Working Schedule: Irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays based on team schedules.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work with U18s MDT & squad: assessment of injuries, gym and pitch-based rehabilitation, match day cover.
- Collaborate with wider department for optimal transition from rehabilitation into technical programme.
- Deliver expert technical assessment and diagnostic skills with individualised treatment plans.
- Maintain detailed records in accordance with legislation and governance standards.
- Drive development of evidence-based protocols for physiotherapy and soft tissue therapy.
- Keep updated with clinical innovations through meetings, courses, and seminars.
- Ensure departmental qualifications, training, and CPD are up to date.
- Meet standards set by CSP and HCPC.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including physical development coaches and performance analysts.
- Provide feedback to Head of Academy Sports Science & Medicine on U18 physiotherapy provision.
- Encourage interdisciplinary approach within the Club.
- Carry out any other reasonable management requests.
Person Specifications
Qualifications (Essential)
- Undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy
- 1st Aid Qualified (FA Level 5 ATMMiF) or ability to obtain within 3 months
- Registration with HCPC
- DBS check undertaken
Desirable
- FA Safeguarding Children
- Evidence of a CPD portfolio
Skills, Knowledge and Experience (Essential)
- Minimum 2-3 years post BSc qualification experience
- Experience working with adolescents in a sporting environment
- Good understanding of paediatric injuries and management
- Good clinical reasoning
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Good range of treatment and rehabilitation skills
- Experience using data & medical management systems
- Experience working under pressure and to deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and IT skills
- Ability to adapt at short notice
Desirable
- Experience using PMA system
- Knowledge of EPPP and ASA process
