Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a leader in end-to-end infrastructure engineering, specialises in delivering complex projects across the utilities, digital, and energy sectors. They are currently seeking a driven Quantity Surveyor to join their team, working on cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Scotland, with a key focus near Falkirk and occasional support for Shetland-based work. This permanent position offers a clear 12-month progression plan, providing the right candidate with unrivalled development opportunities.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Cost control, forecasting, and budgeting across live projects
- Handling Applications for Payment, valuations, and cash tracking
- Monitoring project costs and ensuring accurate reporting
- Managing subcontractors, including payments
- Overseeing variations, claims, and cost recovery processes
- Ensuring contract administration aligns with project requirements
- Collaborating with procurement and delivery teams
- Building effective on-site relationships to contribute to project success
What You'll Bring
- Solid knowledge of commercial delivery and cost management principles
- Experience with valuations, payments, and financial reporting
- Understanding of subcontractor management and contract processes
- Confidence in handling variations and claims
- Strong communication skills, particularly in site-based environments
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently
