Webmaster and Website Manager
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a leading IT services provider. We are seeking a Webmaster/Website Manager. Location: Leicester. Remote work. Salary: £52,300 - £64,000 per annum. Permanent, full-time.
Job Purpose

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and monitor website performance.
- Oversee content publishing and ensure accuracy.
- Perform regular usability, SEO, and accessibility audits.
- Monitor and improve website speed and responsiveness.
- Implement security measures, backups, and vulnerability checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders.
- Manage CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
- Track metrics using Google Analytics.
- Implement SEO best practices.
- Support website migrations and deployments.
- Maintain documentation.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and accessibility standards.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Web Development or related.
- 5+ years experience as Webmaster or Website Manager.
- Strong CMS experience (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla).
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Experience with hosting, domain management, server config.
- Expertise in website security and backups.
- SEO and Google Analytics knowledge.
- Understanding of WCAG and usability.
- Familiarity with Git.
- Agile experience.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
