Job Overview

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a strategic thinker who has a demonstrable and successful track record of inspirational, dynamic and impactful senior educational and/or business leadership.

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is an innovative and ambitious trust and sets an unapologetically high bar for its academies to deliver educational excellence. Every [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] child should thrive and have the best opportunity to succeed, regardless of where they live, their social circumstances or additional needs. The CEO will have an unrelenting focus on driving evidence-informed school improvement in line with the trust vision and values.

As CEO you will champion collaborative working and continual professional development for all staff to nurture, maintain and empower a happy, vibrant and skilled workforce. The trust encapsulates this commitment, living by its strapline “working together, inspiring excellence” in each of its 37 primary academies – of which three have Church of England Foundation - 22 nurseries and 2 outdoor education centres, located across Cornwall.

Our trust seeks a leader with a strong understanding of education and finance, the need to plan and track finances and manage the financial risk, opportunities and landscape of a growing MAT. They should also be familiar with audit and risk in the academy sector and the importance of active risk assessment and mitigation. All of these are necessary for the work of the MAT to succeed.

You will also be supported by our experienced trust board and will work in partnership with our Directors, Strategic Leads, Heads of School, and the Diocese, to develop our trust and ensure that both the MAT as a whole and its individual schools consistently achieve excellent educational outcomes for all pupils.
