About the Role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a member of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a multi-academy trust comprising 36 primary academies and 20 nurseries across Cornwall.

We are looking to appoint a full-time, permanent teacher for our Area Resource Base which caters for thirteen children (aged from 4-11) with severe and complex learning needs including ASD, speech and language difficulties, physical disabilities and global development delay. This is due to the expansion of our outstanding provision.

The ARB is an integral part of our two-form entry school and sits in the heart of our junior site. Our children integrate into mainstream where appropriate.

Requirements

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the teaching and learning within the ARB on a day-to-day basis, as well as managing and developing the highly skilled support team, which consists of two HLTAs and several teaching assistants. The post will suit a teacher experienced in teaching children with complex learning needs, and who is able to maintain positive and warm relationships with children in challenging situations.

The successful applicant will be highly organised and motivated to make a difference to the life chances of some of our most vulnerable children. They will be an effective team leader, eager and willing to play an active role in the life of our school.
