What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint an outstanding, talented and enthusiastic Head of Psychology, needed to cover a maternity leave within the department. You will combine excellent organisational and management skills with the ability to lead, inspire and motivate both staff and students in order to lead the development and delivery of the Psychology curriculum, covering Key Stages 4 and 5.

The successful applicant must:

  • be passionate and committed to improving teaching and learning.
  • have excellent interpersonal and presentational skills.
  • have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers and the wider community.
  • be receptive to change and have the ability to work under pressure.
  • be flexible, collaborative and resilient.
  • maximise the potential of students of all abilities.
  • have a passion for Psychology and the ability to share this with young people.
  • be able to teach to A level and all abilities.
