Job summary

We are currently recruiting an Apprentice Secondary Science Teacher to join our supportive and forward-thinking school community. This role offers the opportunity to train as a teacher while working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (with the option of also gaining a PGCE). The successful candidate will carry out the duties of an apprentice teacher under the guidance of the Head Teacher and experienced colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend all apprenticeship training and complete required assessments.
  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons.
  • Promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment.
  • Support pupil progress and emotional development.
  • Work towards meeting all Teacher Standards and completing the End Point Assessment.

Requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English (grade 4/C or above or equivalent).
  • An honours degree in a relevant subject.
  • A passion for teaching and working with young people.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

In our secondary schools, we pride ourselves on our innovative approach to curriculum design, to ensure all our schools have breadth and ambition for all students, regardless of their starting points and barriers.
