Job summary

About the Role

Are you highly organised, proactive and passionate about helping young people succeed? [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a skilled Children in Care Education Coordinator to play a vital behind the scenes role in improving outcomes for children who have or have had a social worker, and those in kinship care.

This is a fast-paced administration and coordination based role focused on bringing services together, organising key meetings, tracking progress and identifying risks early so that no child slips through the gaps.

You will be the central point of coordination between school staff, families, carers, social workers and external agencies, ensuring support plans are in place, actions are followed through and children receive the right help at the right time.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule PEP (personal education plan) meetings, reviews and multi-agency meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and prepared.
  • Maintain accurate records, action logs and case files, tracking progress, attendance, behaviour and safeguarding concerns.
  • Monitor key data and flag emerging issues or risks that may impact a child's educational success.
  • Liaise daily with internal teams and external services to ensure timely communication and joined-up support.
  • Work with local stakeholders and partnership organisations.
  • Support leaders with reports, follow-up actions, documentation and compliance with statutory processes.

Candidate Criteria

  • Strong administrative and coordination experience in education, social care, health or similar settings.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Confident communicator who can work professionally with a range of services and stakeholders.
  • Experience tracking information, identifying concerns and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Committed to inclusion and improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
