Role Description

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-qualified and experienced trumpet teacher to join the school on a part time basis from September 2025. In addition, the successful candidate will also be offered work through playing in school concerts and similar events.

The appointed candidate will teach pupils, ranging from complete beginners to those of a high standard, the technique and musicianship required, offering encouragement, support and guidance as necessary. The role includes preparing appropriate pupils for Associated Board (or similar) music exams and preparing appropriate pupils for the practical component of GCSE and A Level examinations. The successful candidate would also be willing to teach beginner French horn.

Requirements

  • Qualified and experienced trumpet teacher
  • Ability to teach beginners to advanced students
  • Experience in ABRSM or similar exam preparation
  • Ability to prepare students for GCSE and A Level practical components
  • Willingness to teach beginner French horn
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
