About the Music Department

The Music department seeks to provide an outstanding range of opportunities for every pupil, whatever their level, instrument or ability. Nearly three hundred pupils (over a third of the school) play or sing in at least one ensemble, and nearly 500 music lessons are taught here every week by a team of wonderful music teachers. Most importantly, we seek to make music-making here highly enjoyable and infectiously fun!

Role and Responsibilities

• Teach AQA GCSE and A Level Music, as well as Music as part of the IB Diploma Programme.
• Direct and contribute to a wide range of ensembles including choirs, orchestras, and chamber music groups.
• Support the extensive concert programme including the Spring Choral Concert, House Music Competitions, musicals, and evensongs at venues such as St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.
• Work collaboratively with a team of visiting music teachers and departmental staff.

Qualifications and Experience

Suitably experienced, well-qualified and enthusiastic. The salary will be commensurate with the post and depend upon qualifications and experience.
