The Vacancy
The catering team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Chef de Partie. Boasting a Head Chef who has represented the UK as part of National Culinary Team, [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is renowned for its excellent food. The catering team provides high quality dining and an efficient and professional standard of service to College members and external clients. Food service ranges from high volume cafeteria-style service to fine dining. Made up of 2 teams of 4 chefs working opposite shift patterns (including split shift working), the team is close-knit and supportive. Workload varies throughout the academic year and during holiday times, when conferences, weddings and special events are hosted. Personal and professional development are a priority, enabling employees to flourish. Participation in various competitive catering events both locally and nationally is encouraged and supported.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Professional Cookery, a passion for food and cookery, be a great team player and able to demonstrate a working knowledge of food law and allergen information. This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, including some evening and alternate weekends on a rota basis. Further details can be found within the job description.
