FULL DESCRIPTION
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Project Safety Consultant in Glasgow (Hybrid). This is a Full-time, Permanent position with a competitive salary.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and advise on HSE management during planning, pre-construction, and construction phases
- Act as (or support) Principal Designer under CDM Regulations 2015
- Review design risk assessments and chair HAZID workshops
- Prepare Pre-Construction Information packs, HSE files, statutory notifications, and project reports
- Conduct audits, incident investigations, and HSE training
- Support project administration including budgets, risk registers, and action plans
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure compliance and best practice
- Contribute to business development opportunities within the Construction team
- Travel to construction sites as required, with hybrid working between office/home
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- 3+ years in a construction health & safety role
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
- NEBOSH, NCRQ, or IIRSM qualification
- Experience managing HSE on projects and report writing
- Grad IOSH or equivalent
- Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
- CSCS Card
Desirable:
- Experience in renewable energy projects
- Prior Principal Designer experience
- Degree in engineering or science
- SMSTS certification
- High-risk operations training (Work at Height, Confined Spaces, Lifting Operations)
- Diploma in Health & Safety Management
