FULL DESCRIPTION

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Project Safety Consultant in Glasgow (Hybrid). This is a Full-time, Permanent position with a competitive salary.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and advise on HSE management during planning, pre-construction, and construction phases
  • Act as (or support) Principal Designer under CDM Regulations 2015
  • Review design risk assessments and chair HAZID workshops
  • Prepare Pre-Construction Information packs, HSE files, statutory notifications, and project reports
  • Conduct audits, incident investigations, and HSE training
  • Support project administration including budgets, risk registers, and action plans
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure compliance and best practice
  • Contribute to business development opportunities within the Construction team
  • Travel to construction sites as required, with hybrid working between office/home

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • 3+ years in a construction health & safety role
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
  • NEBOSH, NCRQ, or IIRSM qualification
  • Experience managing HSE on projects and report writing
  • Grad IOSH or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
  • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
  • CSCS Card

Desirable:

  • Experience in renewable energy projects
  • Prior Principal Designer experience
  • Degree in engineering or science
  • SMSTS certification
  • High-risk operations training (Work at Height, Confined Spaces, Lifting Operations)
  • Diploma in Health & Safety Management
