FULL DESCRIPTION

Site Services Co-ordinator

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Site Services Co-ordinator to join the central team. This full-year, full-time role is based at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Central Office with travel to other sites. Reporting to the Site Services Manager, the role involves coordinating maintenance, facilities, and statutory compliance across the Trust's schools. Salary: Grade 6, SCP 11-19 (£28,142 - £32,061). Closing date: 18th May 2026.

Job Purpose

To co-ordinate and provide practical day to day maintenance, facilities and statutory compliance services across [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] schools.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Security: Act as a key holder, carry out security procedures, respond to out-of-hours calls, support in emergencies, manage contractor activity.
  • Maintenance: Monitor cleaning and maintenance staff, resolve site issues, prepare maintenance programmes, draw up plans, identify defects, oversee contractors, undertake caretaking duties, log activity in the Computer Aided Facilities Management system (Iamcompliant).
  • Contractor and Supplier Coordination: Coordinate contractors, liaise with third-party suppliers.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, complete risk assessments, monitor procedures, develop policies, conduct testing of alarms and systems (Legionella, fire, heating).
  • Customer Focus: Provide excellent customer service as part of the Estates and Compliance Team.

Person Specification

Essential qualifications: Full UK driving licence and vehicle for travel. Essential experience: repairs, maintenance, identifying building defects, dealing with third-party suppliers, unsupervised checks and tests of building services. Desirable: NVQ Level 3 in Caretaking or construction trade, 5 GCSEs including Maths and English, IOSH or similar H&S qualification, school site experience, COSHH knowledge. Skills: ability to prioritise, use initiative, work proactively, problem-solve, communicate effectively, attention to detail. Personal qualities: customer focus, positive role model, commitment to safeguarding, equality, and health and safety.
