Early Learning & Childcare Practitioner
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring an Early Learning & Childcare Practitioner at Netherthird Early Childhood Centre. This is a temporary part-time position (17.5 hours per week) with a salary of £32,469 - £34,762 per year (pro rata).
Job Description
Contribute as part of a team to the provision of a quality early learning and childcare service for children aged 0-8 years and their families and work to the principles of the national care standards for early education and childcare and abide by the Code of Practice for Social Service Workers.
Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups, or if already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal].

The Individual
This temporary part time post is based within Netherthird Early Childhood Centre, Cumnock. The post is temporary until 30 October 2026. Hours: 17.5 per week, Monday - Friday, various patterns between 7.45-6.15pm. Full time salary: £32,469 - £34,762 per annum. Actual part time salary: £16,234 - £17,381 per annum.
