Main Purpose of the Role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and practical Landscape Architect to join our small and busy Policy & Projects Team in the Community Greenspace (CG) section. This full-time post is based in Perth, a vibrant small city and main gateway to the Scottish Highlands.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver and manage community greenspace projects from early consultation through sketch design, tender, procurement, contract administration, and handover.
- Contribute to effective team running, morale, and positive working attitudes.
- Participate in reviews of practices and assist in preparation of Team Plans, Business Management and Improvement Plans.
- Take part in team briefings, project reviews, presentations; provide oral and written reports; deputise for Senior Greenspace Officer as needed.
- Co-operate with CG Communities and CG Infrastructure staff for community consultations and sustainable project handover.
- Represent CG at meetings; draft Committee Reports, Best Value Reviews, Business Cases; respond to MSP, MP, Councillor queries and planning applications.
- Ensure Council's Scheme of Administration, Financial Guidelines, Safe Working Practices, Quality Manual and Procedures are implemented.

Skills & Experience Required
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute with ability to design, procure, implement and deliver projects within budget and timescale.
- Skilled in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to identify and initiate projects, prepare briefs, cost estimates, monitor budgets.
- Extensive site experience and full understanding of CDM Regulations, Health & Safety standards.
- Experience of multi-disciplinary and external partnership work with agencies and communities.
- Valid UK driving licence required; reasonable fitness for site visits and community meetings.
