Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for a new opportunity? [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are keen to find the ideal candidate to join our fast paced and forward-thinking Operational Finance team. This role is based in our office in Dalgety Bay, Fife.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of International Finance, the Management Accountant will lead the management accounting and reporting function for our sub-groups within [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] which form the operational finance of the company. Ensuring accurate financial performance tracking, compliance with parent group reporting standards, and effective financial support to business units within the sub-group.

What you’ll do:

  • Financial Reporting: Financial reporting for [Employer hidden] LTD and other Company Groups; preparing monthly management consolidated accounts in line with HQ submission deadlines. Ensure Balance Sheet Reconciliations and payroll reconciliation completed. Complete monthly analytical review of Profit & Loss accounts. Work with local accountants. Ensure year end accounts prepared in line with UK Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) or UK GAAP. Liaise with local audit teams.
  • VAT Compliance: Ensure UK VAT and GST compliance.
  • Group Alignment and Compliance: Liaison between sub-group and parent group finance team to promote continual improvement and consistent processes. Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, reporting standards, and consolidation requirements. Support group-wide audits and financial reviews.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Working with financial controller on budgeting and forecasting. Provide scenario analysis and financial modelling when required.
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with operational and divisional leaders to provide financial insights and support. Identify opportunities for cost control and margin improvement.
  • Process and System Improvement: Drive improvements in reporting processes and financial controls within sub-group and in partnership with group. Support implementation and optimisation of financial systems and tools. Promote automation and standardisation.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have: ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified accountant. Strong understanding of management accounting, consolidation, and reporting. Experience in a multi-entity environment, ideally within a group structure. Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., ERP, consolidation tools). Experience reporting to a parent group structure. Knowledge of IFRS or UK GAAP.
