The Role
As Business Development Manager for Scotland, you'll be the face of the brand on the ground, building meaningful relationships with premium On Trade accounts and specialist retailers, driving distribution, and bringing our field-to-bottle story to life through exceptional brand experiences.
Working closely with the UK Sales Manager, Global Brand Ambassador, and Marketing team, you'll ensure our presence in Scotland reflects everything we stand for. You won't be executing a script, you'll be shaping how an exciting, independent brand is seen and loved in one of the world's great drinks markets.
What You'll Do
- Manage and grow a portfolio of premium On Trade and Specialist Retail accounts across Scotland, with a focus on influential venues and independent retailers.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities in line with our strategic priorities and brand positioning.
- Deliver standout tastings, training sessions, and brand activations that build genuine advocacy.
- Collaborate with the Global Brand Ambassador on events, trade shows, and barrel-top tastings, with occasional UK-wide and international travel.
- Feed market insight back to the wider team: competitor activity, emerging trends, and commercial opportunities.
- Act as a true brand custodian, ensuring everything you do reflects our premium, sustainable credentials.
What We're Looking For
We care more about the right person than the perfect CV. Here's what matters:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally in premium drinks, hospitality, or FMCG.
- A track record of identifying opportunities and turning them into real commercial results.
- Natural relationship-builder with the ability to nurture long-term partnerships.
- Confident and credible presenting to trade audiences, whether training bar staff or hosting a tasting for buyers.
- Commercially sharp: you understand market trends and know how to translate them into action.
- Highly organised with strong planning and prioritisation skills.
- A genuine passion for premium drinks and the stories behind them.
We recognise that talent comes from many backgrounds. If you meet most, but not all, of the above, we still want to hear from you.
The Details
- Location: Scotland-based, hybrid working with frequent travel across the region.
- Reports to: UK Sales Manager.
- Travel: Regular travel across Scotland; occasional UK-wide and international opportunities.
We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
If you're ready to champion a brand with genuine purpose in one of the world's great drinks markets, we'd love to meet you.
