Job Description
Hornblower Group is a global leader in experience and transportation. [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] UK operates public dining and sightseeing cruises as well as private charters across London and York. The Operations Assistant assists the Operations Team in the smooth running of daily Operations, including administration duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- First point of contact for the Operations Office
- Continuous cover for Operations phone
- Administrative duties: preparing reports, maintaining KPI reports, data entry using Anchor and Helm
- Recording MCA hours, updating daily diary, checking captain's declarations
- Preparing daily briefing folders, recording staff lateness and sickness
- Maintaining vessel files and controlled SMS publications
- Issuing crew uniform, ensuring compliance with company SMS
- Any ad-hoc duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential: Experience in a busy office environment, strong administration skills, GCSE or equivalent, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, flexible can-do attitude, excellent organisational and time management skills, excellent communication skills, team player, able to work to deadlines.
Desirable: Customer service/operational background, highly organized, knowledge of MCA and PLA regulations for the River Thames.
Salary and Benefits
Hiring Min Rate: 26,900 GBP. Hiring Max Rate: 26,900 GBP. Salary type: yearly. Employment: Full Time.
