With full funding available, you can study for the BSc Hons/Post Graduate Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) (Health Visitor) starting September 2026, in partnership with the University of Wolverhampton. You’ll gain essential skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience in public health—playing a vital role in reducing health inequalities and shaping a brighter future for local children and families.
Main Duties of the Job
- Engage in training to complete the BSc (Hons) Degree/Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health (SCPHN – Health Visiting).
- Balance 50% theoretical learning with 50% hands-on practical experience in community health settings.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team, liaising with Health Visitors, Public Health Associates, Administration Officers, patients, carers, and other professionals.
- Carry out clinical duties, supporting families and delivering essential public health services.
- Gain exposure to mandated Health Visitor contacts, ensuring seamless progression to the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) SCPHN training in Health Visiting.

- Current NMC Registration
- Nursing degree
- Post qualifying experience
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Car driver with full driving licence and access to car for work
