With full funding available, you can study for the BSc Hons/Post Graduate Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) (Health Visitor) starting September 2026, in partnership with the University of Wolverhampton. You’ll gain essential skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience in public health—playing a vital role in reducing health inequalities and shaping a brighter future for local children and families.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Engage in training to complete the BSc (Hons) Degree/Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health (SCPHN – Health Visiting).
  • Balance 50% theoretical learning with 50% hands-on practical experience in community health settings.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team, liaising with Health Visitors, Public Health Associates, Administration Officers, patients, carers, and other professionals.
  • Carry out clinical duties, supporting families and delivering essential public health services.
  • Gain exposure to mandated Health Visitor contacts, ensuring seamless progression to the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) SCPHN training in Health Visiting.
