Outline of role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our growing Building Services team. This is a hands-on role involving installation, maintenance, testing and inspection works across a range of retail, commercial and fit-out environments nationwide.
Main responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation works in commercial and retail premises in line with current regulations and company standards
- Perform inspection, testing and fault-finding on electrical systems and installations
- Complete maintenance and reactive repair work as required
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with the latest regulations
- Work collaboratively with site managers, subcontractors and other trades on-site
- Complete all relevant certification and documentation accurately
- Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles in good condition
- Support project delivery through overtime, weekend and night working where required
- Represent the company professionally when working on client sites nationwide
Knowledge and skills required
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical installation, testing and fault diagnosis
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Strong work ethic with a results-driven attitude
- High level of drive, energy and commitment to quality standards
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- Reliable, punctual and organised approach to work
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Flexible approach to working hours and travel requirements
Qualifications
- Relevant electrotechnical qualifications in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Requirements for Electrical Installations
- City & Guilds 2391-10 or 2394/2395 Inspection and Testing qualification (or equivalent)
- Completed recognised electrical apprenticeship
- CSCS card preferred
- Full UK driving licence preferred
