Job Description

Responsible To: Timetabling Manager
Purpose: To schedule and manage teaching accommodation.

  • Prepare and schedule accommodation for teaching and examinations.
  • Provide central control over bookable estate.
  • Liaise with staff to prepare timetables.
  • Quality check and publish timetables.
  • Develop structures to optimise accommodation allocation.
  • Administer timetabling software.
  • Assist with training database users.
  • Ensure fair use of campus through policy application.
  • Contribute to room utilisation survey.
  • Undertake improvement projects as directed.

Person Specification

Essential: Educated to HND level or equivalent. Strong IT skills (Intermediate/Advanced MS Excel, Outlook; competency in Word, PowerPoint, Teams). Good understanding of data quality. Significant administrative experience with attention to detail. Strong customer relations and liaison skills.

Desirable: Knowledge of HE environment. Experience with timetabling systems (Celcat), Microsoft 365 tools (Forms, Power Automate, Excel), and Tableau dashboards.
