FULL DESCRIPTION

Club Development Officer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting a Club Development Officer (Lifelong Learning & Development Officer) to strengthen the impact of sport across communities. This role focuses on club development and community sport hubs, with a salary of £40,501 - £47,639 per year, full-time (36 hours per week), based at Waverley Court, Edinburgh. Fixed-term until 31/03/2028 with anticipated permanency.

About the Role

You will work with clubs, third-sector partners, schools and local communities to develop sustainable, inclusive, community-led club sport opportunities. The role requires strong collaboration skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a commitment to social justice and equality. This role is for an initial 2-year period due to funding partnership timelines; however, [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] anticipates this role will be made permanent after this period.

What You'll Bring

  • A strong track record in supporting sports clubs to become more inclusive, community-focused and well-governed.
  • Experience working with senior leaders, partners, volunteers and local organisations.
  • Ability to use data and community insight to shape programmes and evidence impact.
  • Understanding of governance, volunteer development and financial models for clubs and hubs.
  • Solid grasp of the social impact of sport, Community Sport Hubs and national physical activity priorities.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity and stigma-free practice.
