Early Years Worker (Peripatetic) - Killermont Early Years Centre

Location: Killermont Primary School, 1 Aviemore Gardens, Bearsden, G61 2BL

Salary: £31,698.51 - £35,749.79 per year pro rata

Contract: Temporary, Part Time (25 hours per week)

Work pattern: Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1300

Closing Date: 20/05/2026

Job Summary

Please note that this position is temporary. Salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours.

You will be required to work as part of a team in an extended day, extended year centre, and support the development of high-quality early learning and childcare for children and families. You will provide children with a range of appropriate experiences and learning opportunities suitable for their age and stage of development within the context of National Curriculum Guidance, Health and Social Care Standards and the new Quality Standard. This is a dynamic role for all individuals working with children in our centre, supporting children and making great use of our indoor and outdoor environments. You will support the creation of a safe, caring, stimulating, thought-provoking and inclusive environment, working in partnership with parents and families to get it right for every child.

You will be enthusiastic and articulate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality.

Requirements

  • You must possess a relevant childcare qualification as defined in the role profile.
  • Have at least one year’s experience in working in an early years centre.
  • Commitment to safeguarding: The preferred candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
