Relief Nursery Key Workers, Unqualified, Western Isles (4958)

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking Relief Nursery Key Workers (unqualified) for nurseries across the Western Isles, particularly Isle of Harris. This is a supply/casual/relief position with 0 hours per week, paying £15.94 per hour inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Gaelic speakers encouraged.

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] directly manages nurseries throughout the islands and is recruiting Relief Nursery Key Workers, Gaelic and English, to cover staff absences. Successful candidates will have their names added to a relief bank and will be called to work as and when required.

You will assist the Nursery staff with planning a curriculum which supports and guides children’s all round learning and development, and planning and organising the play session taking into account the needs of every child.

You must have proven childcare experience of working with young children and their families in an early years setting together with knowledge of child development and how children learn. In addition, you must be willing to work towards a qualification that meets the requirements of the SSSC for practitioners.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Children (Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme - mygov.scot).
