Cleansing Operative Driver/Crew Leader (nightshift)

Job Description

The [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Cleansing Operative Driver/Crew Leader for the nightshift at Seafield Depot. This position involves 4x4 shift pattern (4 days on, 4 days off) with an unsocial hours payment of £9,385.15. Key responsibilities include:

• Street and open space cleaning, litter collection, environmental inspection and enforcement
• Driving vehicles (B Licence required) and performing vehicle checks and paperwork
• Day-to-day task allocation and operational supervision of cleansing operatives, including lone workers
• First point of contact with the local community, providing advice and responding to problems
• Use of handheld technology to record work and receive instructions
• Removal of waste including litter, leaves, faeces, needles, fly tipping, and dead animals

The post holder will also carry out and oversee activities to ensure efficient cleansing, using vehicles and equipment.
