Grounds Person

About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Grounds Person to join our friendly garden team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] in Brockenhurst. Our garden team is made up of two parts; the kitchen garden team who are solely responsible for the productive garden spaces and the grounds team look after the lawns, trees, and maintenance of any formal borders. Both teams work harmoniously on all projects and events supporting each other in all that we do. Rule one for us is that our grounds should look unstructured, informal and not over-designed.

Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to the Head Grounds Person, oversee the functionality of the hotel grounds.
• Cover all tasks assigned ensuring that the grounds are well presented.
• Interact with guests daily as the gardens and grounds are open to them.
• Assist with animal husbandry for pigs, chickens, and quails.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role preferred but not essential.
• PA1 & PA6 usage and maintenance of garden machinery such as petrol strimmers and mowers preferred.
