Maintenance and Electrical Engineering Apprentice

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Maintenance and Electrical Engineering Apprentice for their site in Poole. This full-time apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in maintenance engineering within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering apprentice to join our high performing team. Based at our site in Poole, Dorset, this engineering apprenticeship will be focused on maintenance engineering but also give exposure to all aspects of the Engineering function.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supporting the maintenance of production equipment.
  • Routine maintenance and repairs, with the aim of ensuring the safe running of the factory.
  • Being involved in preventative maintenance schemes, breakdowns repairs, site services and improvement/capital projects.
  • Working with the operators and managers to solve problems and implement changes to improve safety, quality, availability and reduce cost.

The Right Person

The ideal candidate must be hands on, a willingness to learn, have an understanding in mechanical and electrical system maintenance and improvement. A “can do” attitude and a proactive mindset alongside a genuine interest to continuously improve things will be looked for. A commitment for self-study is necessary.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, driven to succeed, confident, committed to the apprenticeship (workplace and college), have a genuine interest in engineering.
