About the Role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking to appoint a well-qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Teacher of Economics to join our high-achieving and dynamic Economics department on a full-time basis from September 2026. The successful candidate will have solid experience of and demonstrate an enthusiasm for teaching the full Economics syllabus to both Lower and Upper Sixth (AQA specification).

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach A Level Economics (AQA) to Sixth Form students
  • Plan and deliver outstanding, engaging lessons using technology (iPads)
  • Contribute to departmental planning, assessment and resource development
  • Assist in study-related trips and events (e.g., Canary Wharf, Economics Olympiad)
  • Support student societies and extracurricular activities
  • Model excellent classroom management and inspire students

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and experience teaching A Level Economics. Experience in industry is an advantage. ECTs will be considered if supported by a strong degree and outstanding teaching ability.
