Employment Specialist
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Company seeks an Employment Specialist to join the Individual Placement Support (IPS) team, supporting adults with physical or mental health disabilities into employment.

- Salary: Up to £29,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of around 24 clients, using the IPS approach to help them progress towards employment.
- Spend time getting to know local employers to negotiate job opportunities.
- Develop effective working relationships with external agencies.
- Undertake continuous learning about disability and mental health conditions.
- Meet clients to complete Vocational Profiles and Action Plans.
- Assess client support needs including benefits/welfare advice.
- Source job opportunities through tailored searches and employer contact.
- Provide education and support to employers.

- Experience talking to employers and helping people into work.
- Great communication and relationship-building skills.
- Negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
- Drive, passion, and commitment.
- Proven ability to build rapport with people facing barriers to employment.
- Strong written, verbal, and organisational skills.
Skills Required
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment.
- High-level guidance skills (Grade 2 standard).
- Previous outreach and lone working experience.
- Experience in guidance, advice, and counselling environments.
- Understanding of working with disabled people or similar client groups (desirable).
