Job Description
We are recruiting a motivated and compassionate Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Service Manager - Primary Care to lead and support the delivery of the programme. This role is responsible for ensuring a high‑quality, person‑centred service that is delivered with respect, empathy and integrity, supporting individuals to gain and progress in sustainable employment.
Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will be accountable for achieving high performance levels, excellent customer service standards and full contractual compliance. You will ensure delivery aligns with IPS Fidelity Review best practice, supporting the smooth day‑to‑day delivery of the contract within a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and support an operational team to deliver high‑quality IPS services that support individuals into work.
- Recruit, retain and develop Employment Specialists, ensuring staff are engaged, skilled and supported.
- Manage performance against targets, KPIs and service standards using [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s Performance Management Framework.
- Provide regular coaching, observations, reviews and personal development planning for team members.
- Ensure delivery meets IPS Fidelity Review standards and best‑practice requirements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with referral partners, NHS and health‑based stakeholders to maximise referrals.
- Manage the complexities of a mobile workforce, ensuring effective communication and consistent leadership.
- Monitor service quality, including complaints, feedback and continuous improvement actions.
- Ensure accurate and timely performance reporting, data integrity and effective use of systems such as eSyncs.

Experience
- Proven experience of people management within employability, welfare‑to‑work or health‑related services.
- A track record of achieving performance outcomes in target‑driven or payment‑by‑results environments.
- Experience working with or alongside NHS, health or wellbeing partners.
- Knowledge of IPS principles, employability services or related support models (desirable).
- Experience managing data, MI reporting and financial or budgetary responsibilities.
