Job Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Company's (GC) Employment Justice and Health team have an exciting new opportunity for an Employer Engagement Consultant to provide a quality recruitment service to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] customers and employers.

The Restart Scheme is a Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) initiative that provides up to a year of tailored, intensive support to people who have been on Universal Credit for more than 6 months. It helps them to overcome barriers to employment through a wide range of employability support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate employer leads through direct marketing, sales activity, meetings, and events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, stakeholders, and internal colleagues to maximise referrals and repeat business.
  • Identify labour‑market trends and employer needs, matching opportunities to customer caseloads.
  • Manage the full vacancy process, including advertising roles, pre‑screening candidates, arranging interviews, and gathering employer feedback.
  • Maintain accurate MI, follow operational procedures, and ensure compliance with data security, equality, and health & safety requirements.

About You

  • Target‑driven with recent experience working in a sales environment and securing business opportunities.
  • Flexible, proactive, and comfortable travelling or working occasional unsociable hours.

Skills Required

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and networking skills with the ability to close sales.
  • Solid understanding of recruitment, training services, and the local labour market.
  • Confident IT user with experience of CRM systems, spreadsheets, and managing information effectively.
