Early Years Room Manager

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is seeking an inspiring leader to manage a room at Green Giraffe Nursery, Pontcanna, Cardiff. This full-time, on-site role offers £14.05 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and inspiring your room team with clear vision, energy and empathy
  • Creating a rich, enabling environment where children can thrive
  • Ensuring day-to-day room operations run smoothly and safely
  • Embedding our curriculum, values, and high standards into everyday practice
  • Monitoring progress and supporting your team’s individual training and development
  • Working closely with families to build strong partnerships
  • Carrying out regular audits, risk assessments, and action plans as required

About You

  • A Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Proven leadership experience in a room or unit within a nursery setting
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS and a child-centred, inclusive approach
  • Experience in a preschool or baby room (ideally both!)
  • Up-to-date Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene certificates
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • A valid enhanced DBS check (or be willing to undertake one)
  • Flexibility and a proactive, can-do attitude
