About the role
As an Early Years Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced practitioners to support children aged 0–5, helping them learn, grow and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
You’ll gradually develop skills in:
- Supporting children’s learning through play
- Helping with daily routines and care
- Creating engaging activities aligned to the EYFS
- Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Understanding safeguarding and child development
No prior experience is required — just enthusiasm, commitment and a genuine love of working with children.
What we’re looking for
- A positive, caring and reliable attitude
- Willingness to learn and complete an apprenticeship
- Good communication skills
- Passion for early years and child development
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or willingness to work towards them)
Location
Cheddar, Somerset (BS27) — Easily commutable from Winscombe, Axbridge, Wedmore and Weston‑super‑Mare.
