Your new company: You will be joining a well-established, national construction consultancy, founded in the early 1960s, with a strong reputation across Project Management, Cost Consultancy, MEP Engineering and Sustainability. The business prides itself on hands-on Director involvement on every project. The consultancy operates within a wider group following a recent strategic partnership.
Your new role: As an Intermediate to Associate Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of electrical building services designs across a varied national project portfolio. At Intermediate level, you will support the design process and continue to develop technically. At Associate level, you will take greater ownership of projects, support client relationships, and contribute to technical leadership. Projects include large-scale leisure and destination developments, commercial, mixed-use and public-sector work.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within a building services consultancy
- A strong understanding of building services electrical design principles
- Knowledge of relevant British Standards, regulations and industry best practice
- Ability to work autonomously within a remote-first environment
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach
- Working towards, or already achieved, Chartered status (CIBSE / IET) - particularly desirable at Associate level
- For Associate level: experience leading projects, mentoring junior engineers, and client-facing responsibility
