We are looking for an experienced candidate to fill the role of Network Design Engineer – Fortinet, with strong knowledge in FortiGate firewalls, network design, and security architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Gather business and technical requirements in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
  • Develop High-Level and Low-Level Design documents for Enterprise and Mobile Services.
  • Manage software/hardware selection, perform bug and security assessments, and work with Test and Delivery teams to review test plans, defects, and deployment activities.
  • Participate in vendor selection, contributing to RFPs, technical evaluations, and Proof of Concept testing.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to influence network security feature roadmaps, software releases, and budget planning.
  • Drive platform improvements, enable automation, and implement scalable DevOps-driven network solutions.

Must-Have

  • Fortinet NSE4 certification with strong hands-on experience in FortiGate firewalls, FortiAnalyser, and FortiManager.
  • Experience working in Telco/Carrier environments (mobile, security, or infrastructure).
  • Solid understanding of firewall architecture and security best practices.
  • Proven experience creating High-Level and Low-Level Design documentation.
  • Expertise in firewall policy configuration, NAT, Interfaces, Zones, Dynamic Routing (BGP), and logging.
  • Understanding of routing and switching, preferably with Nokia SROS (7750) or Cisco (CCNA/CCNP); MPLS knowledge is a plus.

Nice-to-Have

  • Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls, F5 LTM/GTM, or Mobile 5G technologies.
  • Experience with OpenConfig and NETCONF-YANG models (JSON/XML) for network automation.
  • Working knowledge of Python and GIT for configuration management and automation development.
