Key Responsibilities

  • Translate customer needs and market trends into technical specifications for chassis features.
  • Engage in discussions with OEMs to align and finalize technical requirements.
  • Oversee the development and validation of chassis control systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, software, vehicle integration, and manufacturing teams to ensure system-level performance and quality.

Required Skill Set

  • In-depth knowledge of chassis systems, including suspension, steering, braking, and vehicle dynamics.
  • Expertise in the architecture and integration of chassis control systems such as ABS, ESC, active suspension, and steer-by-wire.
  • Experience in modeling, simulation, and validation of chassis systems using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, CarSim, or Adams.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, ride and handling characteristics, and their impact on safety and performance.
  • Hands-on experience in tuning and calibration of chassis control algorithms for a variety of driving conditions.
  • Familiarity with system-level testing methodologies including HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), SIL (Software-in-the-Loop), and vehicle-level validation.
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety and automotive cybersecurity standards relevant to chassis systems.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and test engineering across global locations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in different geographies.
