Functional Safety Engineer

We are seeking dynamic individuals to fill various roles in our Functional Safety Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for System and Software level functional safety systems engineering in powertrain system development projects.
- Focused on functional safety in the concept phase, product development at system level (parts 3 and 4 of ISO 26262) and product development at software level (ISO 26262 Part 6).
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 standards for all conducted engineering activities.
- Lead and conduct safety analyses, including Hazard and Risk Assessments (HARA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Dependent Failure Analysis (DFA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
- Develop functional safety requirements, functional safety concept, technical safety requirements, and technical safety concept.
- Derive and document software safety requirements based on the concept implementation and ensure its compliance with ISO26262 Part-6 objectives.
- Analyse and comprehend the system design and functionality implemented in Simulink models.
- Participate in safety audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in functional safety and automotive technologies.
- Submit requirements for quality assurance and technical review, address review comments and ensure requirements meet all safety and technical criteria.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
- Strong understanding of Matlab Simulink-based system design.
- Familiarity with requirement management tools (e.g., TRM, DOORS), should understand Agile process (JIRA, Confluence).
- Architecture Design Tools (Ex: MSOSA, Lucid, Visio).
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in functional safety and automotive technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
