Process Engineer – Trim & Final

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] works with leading OEMs and suppliers in the automotive & transportation industries for R&D, Design and Product Engineering Services. We are looking for a skilled Process Engineer – Trim & Final to drive efficiency and quality on the shop floor.

  • No. of Positions: 3 (Gaydon) + 3 (Halewood)
  • Work Model: Hybrid (Minimum 4 days/week at client location)
  • Duration: 12 Months (Fixed-Term)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Manufacturing Engineers in Trim & Final operations
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets
  • Define and execute power tooling strategies with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work on PFC, PFMEA, Control Plans, check sheets, and SOP preparation
  • Manage EBOM and MBOM alignment for production readiness
  • Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost analysis, and capacity planning
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Support new vehicle launches with process, tooling, and facility readiness
  • Implement ECR/ECN with focus on cost, quality, and sustainability
  • Deliver cost-effective Poka-Yoke solutions

Qualifications

  • B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in automotive manufacturing engineering (Trim & Final)
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and lean principles
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, CATIA, or Pro/E
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good project management and prioritization ability
  • Familiarity with automotive safety and regulatory standards
