Context

Act as Engineer on a variety of engineering, transportation and infrastructure design projects. Working within budgets, programmes and quality assurance, as part of a small team, in the delivery of client projects.

Missions/Main Duties

• Prepare outline and detailed design for multi or single disciplinary projects as required.
• Follow and check procedures throughout project delivery.
• Report updates to senior Engineers, technical leads and the project management team on project progress.
• Apply procedures and systems to ensure the safety of staff and others affected by the operations of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] throughout design lifecycle.
• Contribute to company-wide goals and business improvement.
• Continue your own professional development with support from [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal].
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s behavioural framework.
• Accompany more senior Engineers on bridge surveys and assist in compiling reports.
• Interaction with internal disciplines, Project Managers and Engineers.
• Liaising with clients, joint venture partners and external contractors.
• Interface with other disciplines and 3rd parties to ensure multi-disciplinary design.

Profile/Skills

• Good knowledge and experience within own discipline.
• Knowledge of construction principles and standards.
• Experience as a design engineer under supervision.
• Production of quality deliverables.
• Awareness of commercial and contract conditions.
• Experience with CDM Regulations and CSM Regulations.
• Experience with bridge calculation software: MIDAS, SuperSTRESS, Autodesk Structural Bridge Design (desirable).
• Degree (BEng/MEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Graduate Membership of ICE or IStructE.
