Job Summary
Leading a designated workstream within the Clinical Education and Development Team portfolio, the post holder will proactively lead and oversee the operational design and delivery of the clinical support and in-house education curriculum which supports progression and development within role and for future roles for the range of staff and students, working and studying across the range of clinical services in [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal].
The post holder will provide day-to-day line management support and supervision to a small number of Clinical Learning Facilitators.

Main Duties
- Provide and support access to appropriate development to maintain a competent workforce, providing clinical leadership to clinical services in supporting transfer of theory to practice.
- Be a registered Nurse or AHP with a teaching qualification or experiential knowledge.
- Adhere to relevant professional standards and guidelines of practice, education, and conduct.
- Actively contribute to annual review of training needs and evaluation of education performance.
- Influence and improve quality of practice learning environments across the organisation.
- Contribute to monthly reports on Clinical Education and Development activity.
- Be a nominated representative at divisional QUAD meetings.
- Develop partnerships within the local health economy.

Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrate maintenance and continuous professional development of professional knowledge and skills in line with regulatory body requirements.
- Involvement in delivery of patient care in context of training, education, and competency assessment.
- Influence care provision by identifying priority areas in clinical, professional, and operational practice.
- Support, advise, and role-model clinical competence through direct patient contact and simulated environments.
- Act as a role model for clinical staff ensuring safe patient care.
- Keep accurate records and written reports.
- Report and support training and development issues from clinical and non-clinical incidents.
- Participate/facilitate meetings for clinical development needs.
- Work collaboratively with clinical professional colleagues and agencies.
- Manage educational risk and maintain service delivery through effective communication.
- Provide clinical leadership and advice based on evidence-based knowledge.
- Support improvement of patient care by embedding evidence-based guidance into education.
- Line manage colleagues within the wider Clinical Education and Development Team.
Person Specification
Qualifications and Professional Registration
Essential: Professional Registration (HCPC/NMC), Educated to master's level or equivalent, Post Graduate certificate in Health and Social Care Education or willingness to work towards.
Desirable: Project management qualification.
Experience
Essential: Significant post registration clinical experience, Teaching/assessing/supervising/coaching experience, Experience of developing and evaluating clinical teaching programmes, Supervision and line management, Leadership and change management skills.
Desirable: Physical Assessment Skills, Project management experience.
Skills and Knowledge
Essential: Up to date clinical expertise, Understanding of NHS legislation and policies, Advanced communication skills, Promotes patient centred care, Knowledge of clinical governance, Evidence-based practice, IT literate, Current NHS issues knowledge, Competency in clinical skills, Ability to work autonomously and manage competing demands.
Additional Essential: Literate in Microsoft Office and MS Teams, Leadership and motivation skills, Willingness to develop in technology enhanced learning, Committed to staff development, Self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
Other Requirements
Essential: High level of self-understanding, Ability to travel between sites (car owner/driver).
