[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a motivated Facilities Cleaning Assistant for Brighton General Hospital and surrounding clinics. Role is part-time (15 hrs/wk, Mon-Fri 16:30-19:30).
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and hard-working Facilities Cleaning Assistant to work as part of the Facilities team based at Brighton General Hospital and surrounding Health Clinics. The working pattern will be Monday to Friday 15 hours per week, 16:30pm - 19:30pm. The role will perform duties according to the requirements of the various areas of our premises, in compliance with standards and legislation.
Main Duties
The role will combine a mixture of tasks, allowing the service to maximise efficiency with multi skilled staff to improve patient experience. This position will include some manual handling and physical work. Please see the job description and person specification for full details.
Key Responsibilities
- Wear correct and clean uniform whilst on duty
- Attend Departmental meetings as appropriate
- Participate in the Trusts appraisal system, review and personal development process on an annual basis
- Undertake training as necessary in line with the development planning process
- Achieve and demonstrate agreed standards of personal and professional development within agreed timescales
- Contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the team
Person Specification
Essential
- Educated to GCSE/O'Level standard
- Previous Experience in cleaning service
- Customer focused environment
- Literate and numerate
- Ability to follow and understanding instructions
- Ability to record information correctly
- Work as a Team
Desirable
- NVQ Cleaning (2)
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate (2)
- Basic Health & Safety certificate (2)
- Working in Healthcare environment (2)
- Good knowledge about domestic duties within healthcare
