Weighbridge Operator

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Weighbridge Operator in St Erth, Hayle. This is a fixed-term contract for 6 months, full-time (47.5 hrs/week), with a salary of £13.63 per hour. The role involves operating the weighbridge system, administrative duties, and providing customer service.

About the Role

  • Location: Station Approach, St Erth, Hayle TR27 6JP
  • Salary £13.63 per hour / £33,781.73 per annum
  • Working 47.5 hour per week
  • Shift pattern: Tuesday to Saturday with Sunday & Monday as rest days
  • There are potential opportunities to earn overtime when covering Summer Sundays & Bank holidays etc.
  • Your role will be mainly office based but you will be expected to help keep the site clean by picking up litter and partaking in our sustainability projects.
  • You should be able to use a computer to complete weighbridge tickets and control virtual stock levels for which you will be given full training.
  • Full uniform will be provided

What will I be doing?

You will operate the site's weighbridge system, controlling all entries into/out of the site, maintaining the site diary and ensuring an organised office at all times. You will:

  • Assist with general administrative duties, such as; answering phones and directing calls.
  • Carry out inductions for visitors to the site.
  • Ensure that anyone going onto the site is provided with the appropriate protective equipment.
  • Complete appropriate documentation, in accordance with legal guidelines.
  • Ensure that all [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Health and Safety policies are followed, at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the team.
  • To deliver outstanding front-line customer service.

Requirements

What are the requirements?

  • Self-motivation, good communication skills, ability to work as part of a team.
  • A flexible approach to work - you will be expected to cover for holidays and sick days if required.
  • The ability and willingness to undertake other roles on site, with the required training and development being provided.
