Site Operative
Join [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] as a Site Operative at Falmouth HWRC. Provide excellent customer service to members of the public, maintain records, control container exchange, and ensure compliance with health & safety. Full training provided, potential to gain qualifications including IOSH and COTC level 4. Permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week, £12.85 per hour.
About the Role
What will I be doing? Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing, which will involve:
- Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
- Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
- Maintaining a tidy site within your areas of responsibility.
- Ensuring [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
- Co-operating with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Policies and Procedures.
- Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.
Requirements
- A good level of customer service and ability to work in a team.
- Ideally prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given.
- A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
