Salary: £59,963.32 Guaranteed Earnings (including night shift allowance)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 48 per week, Monday-Thursday 19:00-07:00

About the Role

As an HGV Vehicle Technician, you will maintain our fleet of over 1,500 vehicles, working with diverse vehicle technology and sophisticated ancillary equipment. The role is based in a well-equipped workshop in Bolton where vehicles are prepared before entering the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out service, maintenance and repair of all types of vehicles and equipment
  • Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
  • Prepare and carry out MOT inspections
  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to

Requirements

  • Proven experience in repairing and maintaining vehicles, ideally with an NVQ Level in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance (or equivalent experience)
  • HGV licence class 1 or class 2 is an advantage but not necessary – training can be provided
  • Inspection training/IRTEC accreditation an advantage but can be provided
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge an advantage but training available
  • Ability to inspect vehicles to DVSA standards and above
  • Basic DBS check required (provided by employer)
