We’re looking for a Procurement Officer to join our friendly, professional Procurement & Governance team. Whether you are building your procurement career or ready to operate with greater autonomy, this is a role where you’ll be supported to grow, develop and make a real impact.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work closely with colleagues across [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] to support the delivery of procurement activity, from quotes and tenders through to contract management. Depending on your experience, you may be:

  • Supporting and delivering end-to-end tender and quotation processes.
  • Working with services, Legal and Finance to develop specifications and tender documentation.
  • Helping ensure strong contract management arrangements are in place.
  • Supporting spend analysis and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Building positive working relationships with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Contributing to a collaborative, customer-focused procurement service.

At the higher grade, you’ll lead more complex tenders, provide professional advice and work with greater autonomy, while supporting and mentoring others.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is organised, approachable and confident working with a wide range of people. You’ll bring:

  • Experience of procurement, tendering or contract management, or equivalent transferable experience.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A practical, solutions-focused mindset.
  • An interest in public sector procurement and achieving value for money.
  • A willingness to learn, develop and work collaboratively.
