Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Strategic Procurement Team for a Quality Assurance & Compliance Officer. This is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave - the expected duration of the contract is 12 months but will be reviewed periodically with the post holder. The Council takes a strategic corporate approach to the commissioning and contracting of Adult and Children’s services. As such it will take a robust approach to assessing the quality of care provided by services and the provider’s compliance within the scope of their contract. The successful applicant will oversee a portfolio of contracted care providers, working collaboratively with them and support service providers (including Older People’s Care Homes, Children’s Residential Care, Homecare, and Day Opportunities), and with Council teams and external partners. You will deliver effective quality assurance and compliance processes that continually improve the quality of commissioned care and support services.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience with quality management systems and quality assurance practices
  • Experience working with service providers to improve quality and assure contractual compliance

  • Ability to work in a busy, highly motivated team
