Norton Primary Academy are looking for an experienced SEND Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work across all year groups at our Ofsted rated Good academy. With 336 children on roll, we are looking for a motivated and child centred individual to join our team.
Main duties include:
- Provide small group assistance during lessons, adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs, and help pupils engage with the curriculum.
- Provide intimate care for children as required.
- Prepare and adapt learning materials, set up classrooms, and assist with the use of technology and other resources.
- Support students in developing social skills, encourage positive behaviour, and offer comfort and reassurance when needed.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, carers, and other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, to support students effectively.
- Undertake minor clerical duties, such as photocopying and preparing resources.
