Salary: Main/Upper Pay Scale + TLR2b (£19,749.60 - £30,628.80; TLR 2B - £3,523.20 per annum)

Contract: Permanent, Part-time (0.6 FTE - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative SENDCo (0.6 FTE, TLR2b) to join our established senior leadership SENDCo team, working closely alongside the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to sustain and further develop our strong inclusive ethos and reputation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality provision for all pupils with SEND, including those within our Additionally Resourced Provisions (ARPs) and satellite provision, and will contribute to strategic and operational leadership of inclusion across the school. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a supportive and committed team of staff and wonderful children within a truly inclusive environment, where every learner is valued. The postholder will benefit from dedicated non-class-based SENDCo time to fulfil leadership and coordination responsibilities effectively, alongside a teaching and learning commitment, including delivering high-quality classroom teaching and/or targeted interventions, modelling excellent inclusive practice, and working alongside colleagues to plan, adapt and evaluate provision to ensure all pupils make strong progress.

What We Are Looking For

  • A qualified teacher with SENDCo experience and the National Award for SEN Coordination
  • An experienced teacher with a strong background in Early Years (EYFS) and Key Stage 1
  • A secure understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education
  • Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team, including with senior leaders
  • A commitment to maintaining and developing an inclusive school ethos
  • Experience of supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including those with EHCPs
  • Knowledge of or experience working within Additionally Resourced Provisions (ARPs) and/or satellite provision
  • A practitioner with strong teaching and learning skills who can model excellent inclusive practice
  • The ability to support and challenge colleagues to deliver high-quality, adaptive teaching
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • A reflective, proactive and solution-focused approach
