Senior Care Assistant – Burscough

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support residents in daily activities, including meal preparation and medication administration.
  • Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress and health status changes.
  • Ensure the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills.

Skills

  • Proven experience in senior care or care home environment.
  • Strong supervisory experience with leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement personalised care plans.
  • Proficiency in IT systems.
  • Valid driving licence preferred.
  • Compassionate nature dedicated to improving quality of life.
